About Dr. Clyde Watkins
Dr.
Watkins is a native of High Springs Florida. He is a graduate of
Morehouse College and later received his MD degree from Meharry
Medical College. Dr. Watkins went on to complete his internal medicine
training at the Emory University School of Medicine and later joined
the faculty at Emory in the Division of General Medicine. While at
Emory he attained the rank of assistant professor and in 2000 was
named Medical Director of the Emory General Medical Clinics at Grady
Memorial Hospital. In 2005 Dr. Watkins started the Capstone Medical
Group. Professionally Dr Watkins is board certified in internal
medicine and a fellow of the American College of Physician. He is a
Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Emory University and
member of the Medical Association of Georgia and American College of
Physicians.
Dr. Watkins' community activities include service on the Board of Directors of Project Open Hand as chairman of the governance committee, as a member of the Dekalb County Chapter of 100 Black Men of America and the 2006 class of Leadership Atlanta.
